Computer Running Slow? Try a Registry Scrubber
September 11, 2008
Poor performance, error messages popping up, software that just won’t work right… Ahhh!! Has your computer gone on strike, or is there a simple solution for these types of problems?
The issues I just mentioned as well as many other common computer errors are often caused by problems deep within the Windows registry. Fortunately, they are often easy to repair with the help of a tool known as a registry scrubber.
Using a Registry Scrubber
Most common registry repair tools are a piece of cake to use. You don’t need to be technically savvy, or learn some complex program. Nope. These softwares are designed to be ‘point-click’ simple, and they are.
After you download the registry scrubber of your choice, you’ll click the button to start a scan. This scan will tell you how many errors were found in your registry. Don’t be shocked if there happen to be hundreds or even a thousand or more errors. This is actually quite common.
After the scan, you can instruct the registry scrubber to fix the problems that it found. This is just another click of a button and a short wait while the software does it’s job. After you are finished, reboot the computer for the changes to take effect and you should instantly be rewarded with a smoother running, error free computer.
Where to Get a Registry Scrubber
There are many good registry scrubbers on the web that you can download. My favorite happens to be RegCure (read my RegCure review to see why). For links to free downloads of top registry scrubbers, check out the registry repair review site.
Downloading a Free Registry Scanner
September 7, 2008
A free registry scanner will help you quickly pin down the cause of errors and other registry related problems. As the name suggests, a registry scanner will scan your Windows registry in search of problems and report back to you with the results.
When searching for a free registry scanner, it’s ok to be a bit choosy. Not all scanners are the same. There are many software programs available from independant programmers that may or may not be supported.
Then, there are the more popular mainstream registry scanner programs like RegCure and Registy Smart. These are well supported, well documented and maintained by the vendors. Updates are especially important when it comes to registry scanners because of the frequency of Windows updates and service packs. You want to make sure the registry scanner doesn’t conflict with the latest versions.
A safe choice (and a popular one) is RegCure. You can download the RegCure free registry scanner here. It’s easy to use (so easy you don’t really need instructions, but they are available if you need them). In my tests, RegCure is good at finding errors and even better at automatically repairing them. I recommend the upgrade to the cleaner if your scan reveals trouble.
Free PC Registry Cleaner – How to Choose
July 22, 2008
There are several great free PC registry cleaners out there that you can use to repair your Windows registry. If you are in the market for a registry cleaner, heres a couple of things to look for in the software that you choose…
Ease of Use
Because most PC registry cleaners offer similar features, the biggest differences between them have to do with usability. Fortunately, you can download almost all of them for free and find out if the user interface is logical and easy to use for you.
Support & Upgrades
It’s always nice to know that there is help available if you run in to a problem. For this reason, checking out the support offered by the software maker is a good idea. Some registry tools go virtually unsupported by the developers, as is common with many freeware programs. Others, like RegCure offer 7day a week support for licensed users. With upgrades, it’s a similar situation. Typically those who offer support also offer upgrades and updates to their registry cleaners.
Of course, the most important thing to consider when looking for a free PC registry cleaner is how well it works for you. You can always download a couple of them and try out the scanner to see how many errors it discovers and get a feel for wether or not you like the software. Testing registry repair software like this won’t cost you a penny and it won’t take long for you to find the one you like best.

Top Three Free Registy Cleaner Downloads

Registry cleaners are widely available on the internet, and many of them have similar basic functionality. What sets registry cleaners apart from one another is in their user interface, ease of use and any extra features they might offer.
In reviewing registry cleaners for the Registry Cleaner Review, I got to take a look at many top registry cleaners. Of all of them, there were three that I liked alot.
My Top Three Free Registry Cleaner Downloads Are…

RegistrySmart (Visit Site)
RegistrySmart is easy to use and very fast. You can literally have your computer running good as new in 10 minutes with RegistrySmart. This product is well liked by many for it’s streamlined efficency.
RegistryEasy (Visit Site)
Ironically enought, RegistryEasy is the most complex of these three but that is due to it’s powerfull features. RegistryEasy is the choice of many computer savvy users because while it does have an automatic mode, it allows manual access to more configuration settings than the other popular registry cleaners. Another good thing about RegistryEasy is it has been known to catch certain problems other programs missed. If you like alot of settings and are not afraid of techie stuff, RegistryEasy is probably best for you.
How Do I Fix a Microsoft Runtime Error?
July 10, 2008
Microsoft runtime errors are a pesky beast. They popup out of the blue and make it impossible to use the program you were running.
Fortunately, many Windows runtime errors can be fixed by installing and using good registry cleaner software. A registry cleaner can restore corrupt file dependencies, the cause of many Microsoft runtime error problems.
If you are looking for a good registry cleaner, check out the Registry Repair Software reviews here.
Another less common cause of these errors is viruses and Trojans. You should scan your computer with your favorite anti-virus software if you think this may be the case in your situation.
Lastly, a reinstall of the software that triggered the runtime error can often fix the problem, but it’s a big pain in the rear. Try the easier solutions first, then you can always reinstall later if it doesn’t work.

The easy way to fix your registry problems is with a registry repair software. I like and recommend RegCure becauce it’s free to scan your system and if errors are found, RegCure will fix those for you automatically.

After you have scanned and recieved your error report, its time to do a little registry error repair. If you are using RegCure, this is as easy as giving the software permission to automatically correct those errors. Once you click that button, you can sit back and wait the few minutes it will take the software to clean your registry.
