Poor performance, error messages popping up, software that just won’t work right… Ahhh!!  Has your computer gone on strike, or is there a simple solution for these types of problems?

The issues I just mentioned as well as many other common computer errors are often caused by problems deep within the Windows registry.  Fortunately, they are often easy to repair with the help of a tool known as a registry scrubber.

Using a Registry Scrubber

Most common registry repair tools are a piece of cake to use.  You don’t need to be technically savvy, or learn some complex program.  Nope.  These softwares are designed to be ‘point-click’ simple, and they are.

After you download the registry scrubber of your choice, you’ll click the button to start a scan.  This scan will tell you how many errors were found in your registry.  Don’t be shocked if there happen to be hundreds or even a thousand or more errors.  This is actually quite common.

After the scan, you can instruct the registry scrubber to fix the problems that it found.  This is just another click of a button and a short wait while the software does it’s job.  After you are finished, reboot the computer for the changes to take effect and you should instantly be rewarded with a smoother running, error free computer.

Where to Get a Registry Scrubber

There are many good registry scrubbers on the web that you can download.  My favorite happens to be RegCure (read my RegCure review to see why).  For links to free downloads of top registry scrubbers, check out the registry repair review site.

Microsoft runtime errors are a pesky beast. They popup out of the blue and make it impossible to use the program you were running.

Fortunately, many Windows runtime errors can be fixed by installing and using good registry cleaner software. A registry cleaner can restore corrupt file dependencies, the cause of many Microsoft runtime error problems.

If you are looking for a good registry cleaner, check out the Registry Repair Software reviews here.

Another less common cause of these errors is viruses and Trojans. You should scan your computer with your favorite anti-virus software if you think this may be the case in your situation.

Lastly, a reinstall of the software that triggered the runtime error can often fix the problem, but it’s a big pain in the rear. Try the easier solutions first, then you can always reinstall later if it doesn’t work.

Heres a few things to consider when troubleshooting computer problems

Have You Installed Anything New Lately?

If youve recently added new goodies (hardware or software) to your computer, its possible that they aren’t playing nice with your system.  It’s pretty easy to check and find out if a hardware or software incompatibility is to blame – simply uninstall or disconnect it and see if that solves the problem.

Have You Run Your Anti – Virus Lately?  How About Updates?

It’s an unfortunate fact that computer viruses are out there and can (and will) reak havoc on your computer.  It’s always a good idea to update your anti-virus software (for new virus definitions) and give your system a good scan.  Don’t have anti-virus software?  Yikes, you should get some!  I like Anti-Virus PLUS and you can get a chance to try it out free by clicking here.

Does Your Registry Need a Good Cleaning?

Every Windows computer has one, but how often do you preform maintence on it?  Were tlking about your Windows registry, the databank where Windows stores information on your settings, configuration, software and other important stuff.  Over time, these commonly get cluttered and can cause undesireable results (read: trouble) with your computer.

Easy fix – run your registry scanner and have it fix the problems it finds.  No registry scanner?  Heres a link to download RegCure for free.  Or, you may be interested in the registry repair software reviews here.

These simple little things add up to a whole lot of computer problems.  Usually, its an easy fix so run troubleshoot your computer problems with this list next time you are stuck with a PC problem.  Hopefully theres a simple solution.
